As part of our commitment to the local community, we’re laying on a FREE Christmas concert for anybody in the Lewisham area.

It all takes place in the Mural Hall at Prendergast School, which is in the main building. Head on up the hill at Hilly Fields park and enter through the side gates half way up – the whole thing starts at 11.30am. Our concert is open to friends, family and anybody in the Lewisham area who wants to celebrate the start of the season with fun music favourites, themes from films and carols. Bring the kids and be sure to wear your best (or worst) Christmas jumper for the occasion!

Join us as we open the St. Mary’s Church Christmas Market in the Therapeutic Garden.

There will be 40 local stalls including crafts, gifts, food, Christmas trees, mulled wine and spiced cider. Rest assured we’ll be playing suitably festive music for the occasion – just the thing to get Christmas off to a flying start! Lewisham’s civic service and parade will take place on Sunday 12 November at Lewisham War Memorial, Lewisham High Street (directly opposite Lewisham Hospital).

A parade, led by Sergeant Major Stephen Bradley of 221 Field Squadron will proceed along Lewisham High Street to the War Memorial. A service, led by Father Steve Hall of St Mary’s Church with contributions from other faith leaders and civic dignitaries, will commence at 10.55am until approximately 11.40am. Lewisham residents are welcome to attend the service. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive at the Lewisham War Memorial from 10.30am.

We’re going to be playing for guests entering the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. Our programme is made up of 15 minute slots with gaps in between to enable people to move on through the museum dedicated to Ireland’s favourite drink. (Note that times stated are provisional and depends on number of customers on the day.)

What could be better than a Sunday afternoon stroll in the park? Come and listen to the famous Lewisham Concert Band’s rendition of your favourite music – from classical to pops. We’re playing next to the clock café, so you can treat yourself to a cheeky ice cream too!

We’re playing on the recently refurbished Eastbourne Bandstand. It’s a fabulous location and makes a change to have proper seating for the audience. Take a trip down to the south coast and make a whole day of it. This summer has been pretty depressing weatherwise, so we could all do with some cheering up. And if you bring a bucket for sandcastles, you can always use it to collect the rain!

Join the Lewisham Concert Band for a summer session on Greenwich Park bandstand – at 0° longitude, we’ll be right at the worldwide centre for time. So you had better set your clocks and watches for a great afternoon of music, featuring some old favourites together with lighter numbers to help boost the holiday spirit. Let’s hope John Hargreaves, our Musical Director, can keep us playing in time!

Parking Space!
We’ve been contacted at the last minute by the Festival organisers after a cancellation. And we’re stepping in to fill the space. You can look forward to our usual selection of light classical, film and fun themes. A big welcome to Guy Bennett, who has stepped in as guest conductor for the gig. Guy was appointed Second in Command HQ Regional Bands, in Horse Guards, London in September 2019, so he’s been keeping us on our toes for rehearsal – it should be a great concert!

A concert to celebrate the King’s Coronation
We’re kicking off our 2023 season with a FREE concert for Lewisham Borough Council, playing at Mountsfield Park Bandstand, Stainton Road, London SE6 1AN. Come along and listen to a selection of patriotic favourites with our usual mix of fun and classical pieces thrown in for good measure!

This is a date and venue change due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Mayor of Bromley, Councillor Hannah Gray, in conjunction with Everybreath, is delighted to invite you to attend ‘A Spectacular Night Of Classic Movie Themes’ taking place at Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH on Saturday December 3rd from 7:30pm, in aid of the Mayor’s Charity Appeal.

The evening will feature Lewisham Concert Band and surprise guest artists performing, with a fully licensed bar, hot food sold as well as a silent auction to help with the fundraising.

Tickets are £25.00 plus a booking fee, with all profits to be donated to the Everybreath Lung Cancer Support Group, which provides valuable support and guidance to people in Bromley affected by this terrible disease.

Join us for a late summer concert in Dulwich Park. We’ll be playing a selection of popular pieces as well as classical music and a few rock tunes for good measure! Playing time is from 3:00-4:45pm, with a bit of a break in the middle.

From The Beatles to Queen, we’ll be rocking Brighton Pavilion Gardens on 24th July from 2-4pm. But it isn’t all rock ‘n’ roll – we’ll be adding some classical music and show tunes too. Make a day of it and come along to listen to the band. We play right next to the cafe, so you can order yourself some refreshments too!

Join us for a FREE concert as part of the Regent’s Park Music Festival. Bring along a blanket and take a picnic or hire a deckchair from the park if you need a little more comfort.

The Festival brings alive the Bandstand every Sunday afternoon from 19th June – 18th September. In addition, this year there are also Saturday concerts from the Broadwalk Bandstand just across from the Park’s Broadwalk Cafe. And if you enjoy our concert, make a return visit on Sunday 17th July when the Quicksilver Buglers will lead a service in memory of the 7 bandsmen of the Royal Green Jackets who died and many others who were wounded on July 20th 1982.

We’re supporting the Hither Green Festival with an informal concert at the Clock Tower in Park Piazza. We’ll be playing a mixture of light music along with a few patriotic numbers to kick of the Jubilee celebrations.

A programme of light music with a dance theme, including works by Johan De Meij, Philip Sparke, Nigel Hess, Antonín Dvořák & Robert Russell Bennett.
